2011 was a super busy year for Johnny. Captain Jack stared in his 4th film, and Johnny voiced the titular character in ‘Rango’, an animated western comedy. He also produced and stared in ‘The Rum Diary’, a book written by his long time friend Hunter S. Thompson.
While filming ‘The Rum Diary’, Johnny met an actress called Amber Heard. I’m sure you’ll know the effect she had on Johnny’s life.
As if three movies wasn’t enough, Johnny also had a cameo in ‘Jack and Jill’ and produced the movie ‘Hugo’
So, it’s now 2012, and Johnny is one of the Worlds Biggest Filmstars, and was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the Worlds Highest Paid Actor. But in Johnny’s personal life, he’s having a hard time, as it’s announced that his relationship with Vanessa has come to an end.
‘Dark Shadows’ is released this year, but unfortunately, does not do well at the Box Office. But Johnny signs a ‘First Look’ deal with Walt Disney Studios, from which his first film with them is ‘The Lone Ranger’, in which Johnny plays Tonto. However due to claims of whitewashing, the movie didn’t do well with the public or the critics.
Around this time Johnny began dating Amber Heard, and by February 2015 they were married.
Johnny’s next few films, ‘Transcendence’,’ Tusk’ and ‘Into The Woods’ (2014) received mixed reviews, and in 2015 Johnny appeared in two films by his production company, Infinitum Nihil. One of which was ‘Mortdecai’ in which Johnny stared with Paul Bettany and Gwyneth Paltrow. Again, this movie didn’t do well (although I can’t see why, it’s hilarious!). The second film was ‘Black Mass’ in which Johnny stared as ‘Whitey Bulgar’. At last, people could see Johnny’s brilliance again, and this film did much better.
After a bumpy year, 2015 ended on a high, with Johnny being inducted as a ‘Disney Legend’ and Johnny became the face of Dior Sauvage for men.
